Time: a few moons before the attack by the Trolls.
Far from Ocean's Edge Holt there is a large cove, surrounded by mountains on land and protected by the ocean on the other side.
It is very large, it has beaches, mangroves, grassplanes and forests. Now only animals live here, but soon that will change!

Oakroot had been travelling for many moons. He had always loved to travel and had always returned to his birthholt.
But this time when he left, he knew he wouldn't return. It was time to find his home, his place in this world.
He had just woken up and gathered his belongings. He looked up the peak of the mountain, he wanted to be on the other side of the mountain by the end of this day, his foodsupply was almost gone, so he needed to hunt, but he hadn't seen any prey for a few days.
Oakroot started walking and was suprised at how easy it was to reach the top and even more suprised to see what was at the base of the mountain. It was a beautifull cove, with beaches, grassland and even a forest. And looking further into the water, which was as far as the eye could see, there were islands, one large one and a few smaller ones.
The man smilled, started laughing and running down the mountain.
He had reached his destination! This would be his new home, he could feel it in his soul!
Exhausted, but thrilled Oakroot reached one of the beaches a few days later. Not carring about anything he took of his clothes and ran into the ocean. It had been too long since he swam in the salty water he had learned to love in his childhood. He swam for a long time untill he had enough and layed down to warm himself in the sun.

Hyakurin had waited in this area for five full turns of the seasons since the great storm. The game on land had not been plentiful. But the vast deep water had provided great bounty. She'd had spent more time by the water after the storms. Breakneck had no taste for fish and had wandered off for red meat. She had created a fish flake of small branches to dry her catch. There in a secluded area on the foreshore. She popped a small dried fish in her mouth. This batch was ready. She replaced them with her mornings catch of small fish and seaweed. Clean drinkable water fed down to the vast deep from small streams and cracks in the cliff walls. Birds were also plentiful on the rocky ledges which meant eggs were also in abundance.
After eating a few eggs she'd planed to return to the great tree she had made her resting place. Its roots grew up into the air in thick clusters. Providing plenty of nooks and crannies for shelter. It's leaves were large and leathery. Though it grew fruit like other smaller trees of its type they were barely edible. On the way she would gather more dreamberries from a small batch of bushes she had found. She would sleep well during the mid-day and return to the water, when the two moons were high to gather more food until the day star was high. To repeat the process again.
But while she started her return up the cliffs she heard something. It felt warm rushing over her like the rays of the day star. Making her fine hair stand on end. It was laughter!
It was strong, guttural, and deep and then it was gone. There was a scent that lingered much like her sire's yet not.
Mother and daughter moon rose following father-day star several times before she found her quarry. By then Breakneck had returned. A swift nudge against her hand. His hunt had been successful. The scent was strong now. It was natural, earthy, like the forest after a rain. And there below on the beach was the source of laughter. He was alone and tall like her mother had been. His skin was pale in stark contrast to hers. He was handsome and had the look of her father's tribe, a Wolfrider? He had long wavy dark brown hair that matched his face fur. She drew in his scent once more and felt refreshed.
She wanted to run and embrace him to say, 'I knew you would come. I don't know you, but I have missed you.' Just before she was to send. He had shed his leathers and ran, splashing into the water! She noticed scars on his shoulders. She blushed and watched as he swam. It may have been only a moment or much longer. Time had been meaningless in this moment. His joy was hers. Then finally he rested to warm himself in the day stars light. Now! She thought. She sent as she approached with Breakneck at her side. *My eyes see with joy! Do you hunger? I have fish, seaweed, sweet water, and dreamberries.* meeting his steady blue gaze.
(OOC: The tree she stays in is a Banyan Tree (Air Root Tree?).)

The daystar felt warm to his skin, Oakroot started to untangle his hair, in all his excitement he had forgotten to take out his bands. Then he shrugged and just sat there, enjoying his new home.
*My eyes see with joy! Do you hunger? I have fish, seaweed, sweet water, and dreamberries.*
Someone sended to him? With his hands above his eyes to block the sunlight. There… his eyes needed to adjust, but he could see another elf coming to him, with a wolf! Another wolfling? He had always thought there had to be other wolfrider’s tribes, his tribe had split a very long time from the one who started his kin, Timmorn.
“Greetings!” He replied. It had been a long ime since he had sended and he prefered talking. He stood up to offer his hands to welcome her and was taken by the beautiful combination the two formed. The woman had white hair with a dark skin, a striking combination and a black wolf…..
“Forgive me, I had not expected to find another elf here, specially not one accompanied by a wolf. My name is Oakroot, I have travelled many seasons to get here.” He was suddenly aware that was only in his underwear and started to get dressed again.
“Dreamberries? You have dreamberries? If you are offering to share your food with me, I will share mine as well. I have some flatbread and dried meat.”
He also offered his hand to let the wolf sniff it, but didn’t make a move to pet it, although he wanted it very much so.
