Nectar's singing stopped as it listened to Hyakurin's humming. It started to observe the two elves as they "meld" into one.
Nearby Breakneck return their howls with several of his own as the two elves joined in too, Nectar slipped off to a contented, deep, dreamless sleep.
Oakroot saw the insecure look change as he kept caressing
her hair and cheekline. He didn't want to let go, but he had asked her to join him to the treetops and he knew he would hold her soon again!
The thought of Hyakurin singing to him made him happy. He loved singing, whistling and everything else he could think of making music. Where he was born they never had to think about the dangers of being discovered by the humans of their legends
As he followed her it struck him again how fortunate he was to have met her. She was most intriguing and it would be a joy to get to know her. It was obvious she had been alone for more then the five turns of the seasons she had been here and she seemed younger then he thought initially.
He felt the urge to jump around and just as he was going to the Wolfpack nearby started to howl, when Breakneck joined the howl Hyakurin took his hand and they both joined as well.
Oakroot emerged from the treetop and looked over the cove that would be his new home. He pulled Hyakurin in his arms, her back against his chest. "Look at all of this.... my new home, our home. I knew there had to be a reason why I was pulled to this place, you and perhaps Nectar too, I think it is our destiny to help him find his Sea-elf. After that we will see what new adventures awaits us."
He was almost a head tall then her, so her head rested against his chest.
'She must be hearing my heartbeat going a little faster then normal.' He thought to himself. He did sense that she was fairly new to the game of playing. And he didn't want her to feel uncomfortable with him. So he would wait, he would show her how he felt and let her decide on how fast or slow they would go.
In his thoughts he gently caressed her arm and held her close. "The stars seem to shine brighter then in a long time, you are right that the rainy season is coming. We should start thinking on preparing for rainy days....."

Oakroot pulled Hyakurin close to him, her back to his chest, his arms around her, she pressed her body against his. She enjoyed his affection, she desired it, wanting to place her own affections on him. Her desire for him outweighing her nervousness.
She turned to face him placing her hands on his chest. Admiring his pale skin against her own golden brown skin. She met his blue eyed gaze, following the contour of his face, his lips and the tender smile they produced, the way his face fur framed his handsome face, his broad strong shoulders. Everything about him was pleasing to her, the beating of his heart, the slight movement of his chest when he breathed, his scent. She took a deep breath. When she touched him she felt tingly, almost euphoric, the way she sometimes felt during a Skyfire storm.
In truth she enjoyed the rainy season it sometimes afforded an excuse to lull around the den and just enjoy the sounds and smells of the season. *There will be plenty of time to prepare. I've spent my whole life just surviving, preparing, surely there is time for other things?* She touched his handsome face, tracing his lips lightly with her finger tips, running them through his beard, to his neck and shoulders, touching his scars thoughtfully. She then traced her fingers across his chest playfully past his ribs and over his shoulder blades to embrace him. Placing her head to his chest, the sound of his heart beating like a drum. *Do they cause you pain?* She didn't just mean physical pain from his scars but emotional as well.
She released her embrace but kept her body pressed firmly against his. She knew he'd seen her damaged eye, it was all to apparent. So she showed him her left arm. There were two scars to the right above her wrist. *So that I will remember...* Though she was not old enough to have forgotten. It was known that in a Wolfriders long life they often forgot things, because they lived in the 'Now' of wolf thought. She removed the leather collar revealing her neck and shoulder blades. She had a long scar running across the width of her narrow neck. She'd seen wolves show their throats in submission. She simply exposed her throat out of trust. She would tell him soon enough about her scars but in that moment she did not wish to speak. With her right hand she took his left arm by the wrist guiding his hand and fingers to the scars on her wrist up her arm, to her collar bone, the scar on her neck, then at last to her lips where she kissed his fingers tenderly. Though she had guided his hand she sent *Teach me. Dear one.*

His heart skipped a beat when Hyakurin turned in his arms and touched his face, he couldn't think straight anymore when she touched his lips and it was strangely intoxicating feeling her fingers run through his beard. He feared to lose controle, but he somehow managed to calm his body.
Oakroot closed his eyes as her fingers gently touched his scars. Her look made his blood run faster and he had trouble keeping calm. She investigated his scars and when she asked if they hurt him he had to think twice before answering. "Only in the White-Cold-Season. Then they seem to pull my skin as if they shrink."
His body was taking over, but his mind pleaded to stay calm. If this gorgeous girl kept on going he needed to jump in the icy lake one more time.
Luckely she distracted his body long enough to cool off a bit, when she showed him her scars, two on her left wrist. *So that I will remember...* she sent to him, he wondered what she needed to remember, but he nodded, because that was the same reason why he had kept his scars. Then she showed him more scars when she removed her collar. Showing neck meant so much more to a Wolfrider then any other elf, surrender, submission, but also trust!
Hyakurin took his hand and he felt his determination weakening, she guided his hand over her scars, he felt the ridges on her skin simular to his scars.
When she kissed his fingertips his eyes darkened and his heart started pounding in his chest. He couldn't say anything, he couldn't do anything but enjoy her caressing.
Suddenly his head was filed with four simple words.
'Teach her?' His eyes had a loving glance. 'He would teach her everything he knew and then they would continue their journey together.' He took both her hands and kissed both palms ans placed then on his shoulders. Then he gently kissed her forehead slowly tracing her cheekbones to her neck, where he kissed her scars.
**Hold on my love!** And without warning he lifted her in his arms and climbed down to the ground. He knew the pefect place for their fist kiss. When he reached the ground he still held her in his arms and walked to the base of the waterfall while gently kissing her head.
**This is perfect.** And he gently placed her on her feet again, but still kept her in his arms. The two Moons shined a silver light on the clearing and they were reflected by the water.
Oakroot looked deep in her eyes, one golden yellow the other as white as the moonlight. **You have suprised me, my love. From the first moment I layed my eyes on you I wanted to know you, feel you, touch you...** With his sending came all his feelings, like a big tidal wave. He feared to overwhelm her and closed his soul for a moment to regain strength again.
**I have never met someone like you, you are so beautiful! I want to do this right, I want us to remember this moment for a long time.** While sending he caressed her arms, neck and face with one hand, the other one he used to undress himself except for his small cloth covering what made him a man.
**Just like when we first met! It seems so long ago, yet it is just half a day ago.** He took her in his arms again, stared at her face to imprint in his mind how she looked this moment. He lifted her chin and slowly came closer.
His lips softly touched hers and a shiver went down his spine. **Even softer then what they look my love.** He knew he was torturing himself and he trembled. A soft growl formed in his throat as he gently took possession of her lips again, trying not to loose controle....

Nectar woke to the sound of insects chirring in the near total darkness, and the splashing of the waterfall, and in the distance the rumbling of waves on the beach. It seemed the wolves had quieted in need to hunt. Nectar looked around the den and did not see the elves there, so It flew out the entry way and up to the tree top. What it saw once it reached its destination filled it with awe and wonder.
Nectar drifted slowly and settled among the dew bejeweled leaves. Each bead of water reflecting the splendor of the Galactic arch high over head. Millions of stars shining and glittering above, repeated by the dew drops on the leaves of the tree. Then the stars seemed to surround Nectar rising from the tree and slowly winking on and off as they lifted off into the sky all around it. Nectar flitted off the tree top and joined the glowing lights in the air. Stars above, reflected stars below, and now stars all around. One of the winking bluish lights came near to Nectar and landed on its limpet shell hat.
Crossing its eyes, Nectar looked at the glowing creature. The light winked out and then back on again, showing that it too was a bug. Little star cousins, the elves Nectar had known long ago, had called them. It was a mating flight of the little insects. They were winking back and forth between pairs seeking a mate, and Nectar flew among them Its head winking too from the little star cousin resting on its hat. While Nectar watched this brilliant mating flight, it flew with much joy.
Down below on the ground, other pairings were taking place. Not only between the elves, but other animals were breeding, timing their young with the rainy season's beginnings to ensure plenty of food for their young's arrival. Wolves, and other predators, herbivores, amphibians, insects, creatures that walked, flew, or swam in stream and ocean all took advantage of a perfect night of aligned high tides to the moons at zenith in the night sky. By morning's light of the day star, many will have shared pleasures, and much new life will have been started. As Nectar flew among the little star cousins, the one on its hat had found a mate to pair up with and the two tiny bugs shared pleasures on top of Nectar's head. Mating done, they flew off together leaving Nectar alone again but still surrounded by all the lights of the night.
Nectar's singing stopped as it listened to Hyakurin's humming. It started to observe the two elves as they "meld" into one.
