Here you find a short summenairy of the Beforetime and the current timeline.
When 'Dream' is added to an event, this means that one or more characters, more accurately their creator is no longer a member of this Holt. You can consider the RP as if it was a Dream.
(History of Crossing Paths Holt)
It had been a calm night, but suddenly thunder and lightning filled the Sky, the humans were terrified and in the mids of the storm a mountain came down from the sky. Strange beings came from inside the Mountain, offering friendship, but the humans didn't understand and attacked the beings, drove them away from their home! (Later these beings' descendants started to call themselves elves and they called the ones who arrived first, High Ones.)
From CPH
What almost no elf knows is that this wasn't the first time the Palace crashed on this new planet.
The first time they landed on a landbridge between two continents. To keep the humans away, they shaped mountains on the landbridge. And when they tried a second time they knew it would be their last chance to flee this world. Their last chance to return to the stars.
A few years after the first crash a small group of High Ones regained controle over the Palace and, eventhough this strange new world drained their powers, they tried to make the Palace fly again. Their plan was to let the Palace hoover just outside the influence of this world and call everyone home again.
Sadly they failed, but in their failure the ground where the Palace had landed the first time held an imprint of it's magic, here this "Pool of magic" would wait for the Palace and it's masters to return.
Eons later two elves arrived and the Pool felt their pressence, called to them, although it was too weak to be fully heard.
It sensed the magic in Stonetouch and their desire to find the Palace. Eventhough it was weak, the Pool wanted to help and guided Stonetouch to a small shard of the Palace, left behind when it had crashed there.
Disappointed not to find the Scroll of Colors or the Palace, Stonetouch proceeded to study the shard carefully he had found. It spoke to him, without words, and gave him new hope and purpose. He had a grand plan for himself and his life and he trusted his secret with only one person, his faithful friend, Grassroot.
Stonetouch asked her if she would help him in a task that might take the rest of their lives, binding them to each other, she gave her consent. As part of their task they both had to have a healer remove all traces of wolf blood. Even to that she consented willingly. A healer was found who passed by with a small group of elves.
Since Stonetouch could not go to the Scroll, he would BECOME the Scroll. He would make his body still as stone and send out his mind to discover the secrets of being, through the shard. He sat himself in a chair like a throne, and shaped a thin, blank wall of stone in front of him. On either side of this wall he shaped pillars of stone, which were for decorative purpose only. The magic he did was manifested in the wall itself, and he named both it and himself the Stonescroll.
Stonescroll gave up his senses and movement of his body, in exchange for the freedom of the spirit world. The things he learned in his meditations were displayed in the shifting shapes and colors on the stone wall, but it took the right kind of circumstances and mindset for a watcher to discern their purpose. It was not the real Scroll, but it was the next best thing.
The two elves were visited by other elves from time to time. In their curiosity some stayed, but many left again to search for the Palace. Untill many turns of the seasons later.
When Suntop first let the elves hear about the cry, something stirred on the small landbridge where the Palace landed the second time. The High Ones who had been in the Palace had left something behind, a magic pool. It wasn't evil or dark, but it had been waiting for it's Masters to return. Then Suntop and Rayek used the Palace to shout out the cry of the High Ones.
The Pool of Magic had been quietly waiting to be reunited with the Palace when suddenly it heard it's Masters call out a Cry, they were lost, they were in pain, they needed help!
It connected to the one sending out the Cry and it found a small boy, who was tortured by not being able to help the ones in need. The Pool wanted to help and started to send out the Cry too. When the source of the Cry suddenly dissapeared, the Pool was confused, was the Cry no longer needed? Were the Masters saved? It got no answers, but it kept sending out the Cry, because it needed answers.
The pool called for elves to be re-united. Soon the first elves would arrive.
Slowly elves picked up the Cry and started coming to the secluded landbridge, some arrived in small groups, others alone.
Many have arrived since the Cry started, most they are elves seeking to aid help or to find a new home, all have different reasons to come, all have different reasons to stay!
