Crossing Paths is located on an isthmus (or landbridge), which connects two large continents.
The climate can be decribed as mild, with periods of extreme weather.
Due to the two large bodies of water on both sides, the weather can be different each year, but those who have lived here long enough will recognize a cycle of some twenty to twenty-five years.
(We don't know how many months a year is, so we will take an earth year, twelve months, as standard.
Newgreen
Newgreen doesn't always start at the same time/date.
When a cold, harsh Winter has fallen over CPH, Spring will be short. Snow can keep falling around the same time last year flowers had already sprouted.
But a common Spring is mild in temperature (15°-22°C or 59°-71°F) and usually lasts around three moons.
It can rain gently for a few days, followed by dry days.
Highsun
A typical summer is mild in temperature (26°C or 78°F), with days when it can be hot (36°C or 96°F) and days with more cooler temperatures. Summers can last four to five moons.
A thunderstorm is not uncommon and usually will follow when it has been hot for a few days, followed by some cooler days after qhich the temperature will rise again.
Sometimes hot days wake up the stormseason,
Due to the high mountains rain will stay on one side of the range, with a possibility that the rain stays for a days or two.
Leaffall
It isn't always clear when Fall starts, but our Elves have decided that the first day they find a colored leaf makes it official. Although some will say iy starts when the first cold breeze blows through the Holt.
Usually the leaves start to change color before the weather gets colder.
Normally Fall only lasts around two to three moons, depending on how hot the summer was. The hotter the Summer, the shorter the Fall will be.
Temperatures can be warm to cold (10-24°C or 50-75°F), usually you can expect a warm Fall after a mild Summer.
WhiteCold
Crossing Paths Holt is in a mild climate with hot and cold days, this is no different in the wintertime.
A typical winter is when small creeks and puddles freeze over and snow falls which melts quickly. The wind is icecold and makes it unpleasant to go outside for a long time. (8--6°C or 46-21°F)
But just like the summers there are cold winters.
Snow can fall for days and cover the ground, trees and mountains, sometimes as thick as two hands.
The ones who have lived here for more then fifty years might remember a winter when even the sea started to freeze over.

Storm
Every year it is possible that a storm hits CPH, but usually it only disrupts day to day life for only a few days.
Due to the Mountains storms can stay longer then it would above the Plains. The Mountains also provide a natural barrier for storms hitting CPH from "Snake's Bite".
Once every three?? hundred years (give or take) a major storm hits the Crossing Paths area, a .... These storms bring rain and heavy winds and can last four to seven days.
Trees can be unrooted, rivers flooded, even boulders can fall from the mountains and roll into the forrest.
It is possible that the storm will miss them, but they will always experience some discomfort from the storm.
