Please read this before making an Adoptable Character (AC's)!
Description: An AC is a character that is created because it has a role in this holt. For example; This could be because the character is part of a couple or it has an important role in the holt (Midwife, Huntleader), but for some reason you can't play the character yourself.
AC's can be used at the request by anyone as a NPC, until the character is adopted.
1. Everyone can create a CIS for an AC, but it will need approval before you can RP the character.
Post the CIS in the "Pending Characters"-Board and clearly state that you have created a NPC!
We want to ask you not to make random characters, just for fun, in the end all characters in CPH need to have a certain role in the Holt. You need to explain why this character is important to be added to our Holt. (A relative of one of your characters or a position in the tribe which has not been taken (No Magic Position).
Use the CIS from the "Pending Characters"-Board to show how the character will be. You don't need to fill in everything, some things are better left to the one adopting the AC. Add tbd (to be determined).
If possible, add a picture of the AC in the CIS.
2. AC's are not active characters.
You can only play AC's when it adds to your story. You can't make an AC and decide to create a RP around him/her/it!
3. Permissions to use an AC.
If you want to play an AC, post this under the CIS and add in which RP you will be using the character. If the RP isn't up yet, add a description of what your plans are and add the name of the RP when you start it!
The creator of the AC can in theory refuse the use of the character, this is to be accepted by all members, but keep the dialogue open to find a middle ground.
Remember, the use of the character will only be temporarily!
We are a real-time forum, so no character can be played in 2 rp's at the same time or by two different members. (Exception is using the character for a RP in the Past, but make sure it isn't in two RPs in the same timeframe!)
Please check in each CIS if someone is already using the AC or ask there if the AC is available, also post in which year you will use the AC.
You can also read where a character has been in the "Who Played Where"-Thread.
When you are finished playing the AC, post this under the CIS as well!
4. Use AC's in Stories or Art
You can always add AC's in stories and art, look at the CIS to see how they look and, if added, what their personality is.
5. If you are interested in adopting a AC, please post your name under the CIS and clearly write: "I want to adopt this character!".
Post what you want to add, just in case it contradicts with history. You can read where a character has been in the Who Played Where Thread.
6. When the adoption is approved, create an forum-account with the name of the AC. Then copy the CIS and add the missing bits in a different color and post the CIS in the "Pending Character"-board.
You can start playing the character under it's own name after the CIS is approved!
If, by ant chance the character is played at the time, contact the member.
(You can find where the character is in the "Who Played Where"-Thread)
I think that is it (for now). If someone want to add something, please let me know.
