ShineBright saw Sering leave with Peacekeeper and was glad Stillwater would get the help she needed.
It troubled her that she hadn't noticed that someone was attacked and that she had missed that the sibling had asked for help. "I am sorry. A lot has happend... I am... I was distracted... I am distracted..." She kneeled down to meet the cub eyes to eyes. "Let us bring her to the Holttree, she will be safe there till we know what has happend and how we can help her. Will you accept our help?"
She knew and felt he had the right to refuse, but the Holttree would a safe place.
ShineBright was glad Frost took over from her, she could spur them to make the stretchers to bring everyone to the Holttree.
She sighed... she dredded the memorial, but she wanted to do something and she knew Sunstrider would have loved it. Specially if the GoBacks of their tribe would dance to the howls of the Wolfriders....
Peacekeeper had returned and offered to help. "Thank you... I would like some help with Solessa, maybe Snacks could help carry her back?"
The others were preparing the stretchers and placed Sunstrider on one of them and his wolf on another, Kip was taken care of too, but his stretcher and the one for Fang wasn't ready yet. When they were, they would be brought to the Magicpool for their final restingplace.
The ones capable of carrying would have to help.
Working together Solun and Frost had made the large stretcher needed to move Solessa.
They had placed it next to her and started to help the others.
"The sun is rising, can you see Sunstrider? Does your spirit ride the sun now or is your spirit still asleep?" ShineBright felt the urge to howl, but her throat was suddenly dry.
"Peacekeeper, I will need your help lifting Solessa on the stretcher."
Peacekeeper heard ShineBright, but sensed Frost again.
"Is Frost…” He shook his head, "Never mind, let me get Snacks down to secure the stretcher."
With that, he got his bear friend on the ground with his belly, making it easier to tie the stretcher to his back. "I say we put her shoulders up and then we can secure her to the stretcher. "
**Terr**, Frost answered Peacekeeper’s sending. He had just been on her mind. She allowed herself a small smile, thinking of what happened the evening before and what would come of it. She sent him an image of Shylight, as well as she could. **She seems to be in trouble, a danger of the spitit. Can your powers help?**
ShineBright could only imagine what Peacekeeper was going through. Recognized by surprise and Frost not even knowing what it really meant...
"Thank you! I really appreciate your help." She listened to his directions and lifted the cocooned Solessa up.
After getting Solessa secure, he eased Snacks up. He then heard his friend send, ***IS BEAR FRIEND?***
PK was hit by this knowing Solessa had earlier shape-changed to an ice bear that Snacks liked. ***TAKE HER HOME, BROTHER... ***
Peacekeeper looked sad knowing his friend wondered knowing her scent and his confusion.
***SHE SLEEP*** The bear understood and waited to move.
"Ready, ShineBright."
ShineBright was preoccupied in her thoughts. "Sorry? Oh yes, lets bring her to the Holttree. I think one of the caves between the roots will be good."
She nodded. "At least for now that is!"
"Then let's be on our way."
The bear moved with his friend guiding him to the cave. PK told ShineBright, "Snacks knows it's Solessa... he's confused...and to be honest, I have my own confusion to deal with." He was thinking about Frost... and Greensong too.
ShineBright hadn't thought Snacks would be confused too. "Yes, of course, he saw her as a bear first. She is good with her changings. Poor Snacks, but I can imagine Solessa will change into a bear again when she is better again!"
She felt for him. "Frost is confused too, she didn't even know what Recognition was or that she could experience it too one day. She is a very independent woman, wants to live her life the way she has all her life. I don't know what that will mean for you, but if you don't talk to
her about it you will not know what she wants or she won't know what you want."
She sighed and placed a hand on his shoulder. "I hope it won't get more complicated then this, the cub will need the both of you." She didn't know about Greensong or the connection they had.
"I know the cub will need us both... I will be there, but I have made one decision... I will be Frost's lifemate. But I will not lose my love for Greensong either. The cub's birth comes first and is the most important thing right now. And thank you for caring. " He hugged her and let go as they continued on.
ShineBright smiled and hugged him back.
"Greensong? I had no idea you two were together." She smiled.
There was just one thing she had to ask him..... But she wasn't sure he would be happy about it.
"I know you would go anything for your cub and the ones you love.... But...." It was harder then she had expected. "...have you asked Frost if she wants a ... I mean... GoBacks tend to share with whoever and..." She was silent for a moment.
"Does Frost want a Lifemate? .."
"That's true, I haven't thought of that. No matter what, she will have to tell me her decision of her future, but I'm sure she wants me to be there for the cub. Our cub will know their parents... both of us! But Greensong. What will she decide as well? Much will be talked about all this soon, I promise. "
"Yes, I agree. So much has happend, I hope soon we will have time to give everything a place in our hearts and minds...." ShineBright saw the Holttree up ahead and smiled, at least they would have a home together.
"Many don't know about the lives that have changed, for the good and the bad. I think a council after the memorial will be good, to discuss our future."
